Bosch in Charleston, SC, is the largest Bosch facility in the US and the leading producer of fuel injectors and braking systems. With more than 100 technical openings and a talent provider unable to deliver the required volume and quality of candidates, they had to devise an alternative strategy.
The Results
HTI partnered with purchasing and plant leadership to supplement the existing supplier and devised a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing and recruiting approach to meet demand.
Part I: Targeted Marketing & Recruitment
Leveraging deep workforce insights, HTI developed a strategic marketing plan featuring virtual hiring events and a targeted roadshow – including stops near military bases – to build a sustainable talent pipeline. Our team of marketers, designers, and recruiters executed comprehensive ad campaigns for each event, including job board and social media promotions launched weeks in advance.
HTI also leveraged technical college partnerships to gain insight and additional access to potential candidates, as well as to spread the word about opportunities.
Part II: Candidate Relocation
A key component of attracting candidates outside of the immediate area was to develop a more attractive relocation package. Candidates used our relocation guide, including cost of living data, local attractions, school information, detailed Bosch benefits and other pertinent insights, to make a more informed decision about moving.
